RPC’s K100-0102 and K100-0102HR provide a semi-quantitative analysis of water hardness to prevent damage to your equipment, reduce risk to patients and ensure compliance with industry regulations. The K100-0102 test strips provide an analysis of low-level water hardness after softening. The measuring range for this strip is 0.3 to 7 grains per gallon (gpg), 5-120 parts per million (ppm), and 6.7 German degrees of hardness (dH). The high range K100-0102HR test strips are used prior to the softener as an aid in determining the amount of softening required pre- reverse osmosis (RO) system. The measuring range for this strip is 0-25 grains per gallon (gpg), 0-425 parts per million (ppm), and 0-23.9 German degrees of hardness (dH).
